I imagine it's a rare event anyway. This only becomes a problem if you are sent an attachment that is dodgy AND windows defender is sufficiently up to date enough to catch it.

My view, for what its worth: Given that: a, a threat has been removed and b, you havent seen any consequences of Spamassassin complaining about a (now missing) message then I suspect you shouldnt have to worry. Any masking is done by external influences and not by hmailserver. You will see this by looking in hmailserver logs (it sends full text and doesn't mask is).

Check av or firewall interventions by the network or client being used.

There is a 7zip executable already provided by Hmailserver:

C:\Program Files (x86)\hMailServer\Bin\7za.exe

Why not use that and do away with separate 7zip install and path?
