I am using hmailserver 5.2 build 356
we are fetching mails from our isp

we have catch-all account with our isp(admin@mydomain.com) suppose somebody send mail to xyz@mydomain.com and cc to pqr@mydomain.com i receive two diffrent mails in my admin@mydomain.com with same message ID.

In hmailserver i had created diffrent accouts along with admin@mydomain.com and in external account of admin@mydomain.com is my isp account details with deliver to receipents to MIMe headers.

everything works fine my users are getting mails only they are getting duplicate mails. can i have some script or rule which will check duplicate message-ID for that particular user and only keep one copy of mail.

one more problem if i take backup of my working hmailserver and restore on same system after OS reinstallation i can send mails to local or external users hmy outlook express shows sent successfully but user wont receive mail even if i send mail to my self i am not able to receive. if i deleting user and recreate user i can send and receive mails.

1) Why is this in the Feature request area?

2) http://www.hmailserver.com/documentatio ... al_account

Quote:
Duplicate messages are delivered

If several copies of the same message are stored in the external account, hMailServer will deliver multiple copies of these messages. Some SMTP servers may deliver multiple copies of the same message to the same account, if a catch-all account is used and the message is being sent to several persons on the same server. The only workaround to this problem is to reconfigure the SMTP server not to store multiple copies of the same message. Note that it is not hMailServer which needs to be re-configured but the SMTP server which delivers messages to the POP3 account hMailServer is downloading from.

3) When you restore a backup are you restoring to the same version of hMail as previous?
