I set up an alias like;

%@somedomain.com => RealUser@somedomain.com

when I send a message to fred@somedomain.com it gets to RealUser@somedomain.com, but the To: field seems to be gone.

I am running v3.2.2. This is occurring in a POP3 environment.

Any Ideas?

What I am trying to do is to get all email to the domain to go to one mailbox...

Paul

I guess you mean that the "To"-address isn't shown in your email client?

I just tested this and it works fine for me.
hMailServer isn't changing any parts of an email just because you use an alias. Could you locate the email in the data directory, open it in notepad and see if the To:-header exists there?

What email client are you using?

I think it would be easier to just fill in the postmaster address. Then any e-mail sent to that domain (to an address that doesn't exist), will go to the postmaster. It's a catch-all address.

If I understood correctly.

I will test it again. I will have the client that automatically pops turned off, and look at the data in the data directory.

BTW, I was unaware that the postmaster gets all the unknown addresses. This explains what I thought was a rather odd situation. Where I am getting e-mail for a domain other than the one I'm on. I had set up the postmaster to point to my main email account on a different domain.
