What are the options? (free options!)
any more?

I'm on roundcube at the moment and think its great, though it does have a few oddities like the send button not in the menu bar but at the bottom of the screen which can scroll off on some resolutions.

Wondering what people use / recommend?

S.

OSAN - http://www.hmailserver.com/forum/viewto ... =9&t=14143

There are many, many others. At least two hundred I reckon. I just Googled 'free webmail client' and got 3.2 Million hits. Some are pop3 only, some are IMAP, some are Ajax, some are PHP, some are ASP. Some require a database backend, some don't. Some link with LDAP servers for common address books, some are proprietary, some are open source, some have themes and add-ins, some only come in vanilla...

For a small installation there is also things like 'simplemail' a Firefox add-in. Really easy way to set up remote access to mail for ONE user on a regular laptop, but then you could just use a regular mail client like thunderbird or outlook express.

i like http://t-dahmail.sourceforge.net/
because it doesn't use a database.

I'm using SquirrelMail because I find simple to use and I find it to be very stable for me. The user interface does appear a bit unprofessional though, but since I'm the only one accessing my server that doesn't matter to me.

I use both Squirrelmail and Horde. Horde has a better interface (and cool addons) but is slower. Squirrelmail is fast and stable

Ditto my vote for SM. Might consider something more "modern" but so many users have customs set that they would have a fit if I were to change.

Squirrel, since it's the very first webmail I've ever successfully installed on my Hmail. kthxbai.
