I just put up a new version of OSAN Web Mail. Some of the new features:
* Saving of sent/draft messages
* Moving of messages between IMAP folders
* Easier to install with MSI-based installation

Extra languages except English is currently only Swedish.

It is still a BETA, and though I am running it on my server without problems I won't promise everything is working. I can't be help responsible for your data, always keep a back-up! Also, this version requires .NET Framework 3.5 and hMailServer 5.

I unable to install the file. I already installed the Visual Web Developer Express 2008 with .net 3.5 but still I encountering error.

You will need Visual Studio 2008 to open the solution though, I doubt Web Developer supports solution with class project?

Could you please check the eventvwr and see what error you are getting exactly? What OS are you running? Are you running the install as administrator?

Thanks for this new version, the installer is excellent. Just a couple of small comments:

- in the ReadMe, step 4 says "give the accoutn IIS_WPG..." etc. You might want to put in that the user should navigate to the Security tab, first
- I had to also give the Network Service "Local Launch" and "Local Activation" permissions in order for my install to work
- it might be nice (if possible?) to be able to install a new website, as opposed to adding a virtual directory to an existing website

Your two first opinions will be included in the next release. About the third, I would also like that function, but since I am using a standard Web Setup Project in Visual Studio I don't think it is possible.

You can leave the virtual directory field empty and it will install at the root of the site though...

No, not at the moment. The test server I had earlier does unfortunately not exist anymore...

I've downloaded the latest version, and everything seems to be working great. The only issue is that the users are told that I haven't configured a location to save sent/draft emails. Where would I make that configuration change? I read the install instructions, but don't see any mention of this location.

Sorry for the late reply, been busy lately!

That is a per user setting, each user must go into Settings and set folder names there. The reason for this is different users might have different names on their Sent/Draft folders, depending on language and/or e-mail client.

I recently upgraded hmail server install to 5.2B356 and osan mail (v 90beta) stopped working. It loads the login page properly, when logged in with valid credential it takes me to Error.htm and the error logged is:

Just posting to say thanks for your efforts... I plan to give this webmail a try someday.

Just a heads-up to anyone thinking of trying this:

The documentation is non-existent and the only support I've seen is in these forums, scattered over 10-12 different threads. There's better working, documented, and supported webmail packages out there - many of which are also free. You might want to do yourself a favor and avoid the headache and frustration involved with this package.

Yeah, well, sorry for not answering here but I have been occupied with other things.

When I wrote OSAN there were no alternatives to a .NET-powered web mail. Today, I find several (for example, http://www.afterlogic.com/products/webmail-lite). Therefore there is no longer need for OSAN, I will not "waste" any time on bug fixes on it.

Sorry for any inconvenience, just thought I would bring something back to the great community of hMailServer.
