Microsoft’s block policy isn’t very clear / fair. My server is hosted at a German provider. The problem is that if someone from the ip subnet that also includes my server sends spam, Microsoft blocks the whole subnet. Ah, sorry. My mistake. Combine CERTIFICATE.CRT and CA_BUNDLE.CRT in one file. Like copy the content from CA_BUNDLE.CRT beneath the content of CERTIFICATE.CRT and use this file as certificate file.

You could do that. But your mails will definitely go to the spam folder of the recipients or don’t get accepted by the receiving mail servers. The bounce message is generated by hmailserver. So outgoing traffic on port 25 seems not blocked for you. For a bounce message you don't need incoming port open.

You have to request an unblocking at microsoft or ask amazon to do that for you.

So I created rule on my firewall to forward request from 587 to mail server port 25. Unfortunately still I have issue... That won't help. You can't change the incoming port because the whole world uses port 25 for mailserver to mailserver communication. So your ISP is just blocking incoming request...

There were a few things that didn’t work smooth anymore. Especially the Windows Explorer.

hMailServer is just delivering the message your mail client creates. So you have to ask your mail client (like Thunderbird) how to do that. Technically it is just a multipart message which includes a part with content-type "text/plain" and a part with "text/html". But you can also ignore this point....
