Gmail. Message undeliverable 550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist

Post by kdiamond » 2020-12-16 00:53

Hi.

I suddenly can not send any email to Gmail anymore. Haven't touched a thing. Gmail account is valid and will accept emails from another Gmail address.

Error Type: SMTP
Remote server (108.177.126.27) issued an error.
hMailServer sent: RCPT TO:<XXXXXXX@gmail.com>
Remote server replied: 550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try
550-5.1.1 double-checking the recipient's email address for typos or
550-5.1.1 unnecessary spaces. Learn more at
550 5.1.1 https://support.google.com/mail/?p=NoSuchUser s5si230696ejz.284 - gsmtp

Thank you

Br,
Dali

I'm no expert but...

....I'm guessing the account that you tried to reach does not exist.

That's not the case. Gmail account is valid and will accept emails from another Gmail address.

I solved it.

I had some issues in domain SPF, DMARC records.

As always https://mxtoolbox.com/ is a great tool!!!

Thx

There was a gmail outage today that caused that strange message. I had a couple of messages today for bona fide accounts bounce with "user does not exist".

Gmail was completely down yesterday morning for a little while also. I could log in but no messages would appear.

Ahh, and I thought about this possibility too :) I fixed some issues in SPF and Dmarc records, which is good too.

Thank you

I think the Gmail outages have something to do with solar winds being outed as YUUUUGE spyware. At least, it's extremely coincidental.
