How to backup every incoming email EML file

Post by VadaDosaIdly » 2022-01-26 01:57

Hello Friends,

I need to create a backup copy of every incoming email EML file in another folder (different drive).
Can it be possible using Eventhandler.vbs file? if yes then someone please post entire vbs code to create backup copy of incoming email as soon as it arrives. The destination folder for backup is D:backup\data\.
I would like to maintain same folder structure for backup as like primary data folder of hMailserver.

There are a few backup scripts in the scripting forum.

You want to keep an up to date backup, like a nightly backup?

Or you want to keep all messages even if they're deleted from user mailboxes? (https://www.hmailserver.com/documentati ... nce_mirror)

Not nightly but instantly, as soon as soon as message arrives.

you want to back up 'instantly' mirror feature is the way forward

You could always mirror to an address on another physical server if you want

For daily backups, this >> viewtopic.php?f=21&t=28139
Just 'cause I link to a page and say little else doesn't mean I am not being nice.
