hMailserver (ver 5.0 >> 5.3.4 only) is NOT allowed under to include libmysql.dll as per the MySQL licence, because hMailserver Ver 5.0 through 5.3.4 is NOT open source.

You can copy that dll from the mySQL installation though

Hi, do you know where to download a more recent version of this library?

Try from the MariaDB website

you need the 32 bit version for hmailserver below 5.7 (which is ALPHA)

Do you have a link? I couldn’t find a working dll there.

I just installed https://www.heidisql.com/ and took the dll from it’s installation folder.

Thank you for your reply.
What about this:

https://downloads.mariadb.com/Connector ... -c-3.1.11/

There are both 64bit and 32bit version
mariadb-connector-c-3.1.11-win64.msi
mariadb-connector-c-3.1.11-win32.msi

I guess I have to install the 32 bit version and copy it into hmailserver folder.

I'll try it as soon as I can.

I confirm it works.
  • install the 32 bit mariadb library;
    copy and rename the library to hmailserver path.

Can confirm. I just rebuilt my server recently. Of course I had the same issue. Heidi solved it.
